Well, here is my review of Red Steel 2 for the Nintendo Wii.
This is the second Mario Galaxy game making it a series now. Nintendo generally doesn't make a second game even if it sold crazy amounts of copies, but in this case they make a 2 with their 3rd Mario game on the Wii.
Well, this game has arrived in my mailbox, so let's get to it.
This is a review for My Pokemon Ranch. Available only for Nintendo Wii on Wii Ware.
This Wii Ware title was gifted to me by an annonymous user. (Yes that is his real username).
My Pokemon Ranch is an app for your copy of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. If you have no more box space then this is perfect for you.
When you turn the game on for the first time you are introduced by the ranch owner, Haley.
Haley wants to use her ranch to raise Pokemon of all kinds that both you and her bring to the ranch.
On the very first day Haley will being six Pokemon to the Ranch and then every sing day after that she will bring a new individual Pokemon, not sure if these are random or the same each time.
Once this is done you are told to pick up to five Mii's to roam around the Ranch to keep the Pokemon happy. Most of the time they're happy anyway but still it's good if you want something to use your Mii's in.
The goal of this game is to just fill your ranch up with as many Pokemon as possible. At the very start you are limited to 20 Pokemon in the ranch but once you have 20 in the ranch will expand and will keep expanding as long as you reach the max Pokemon level.
There is 25 Ranch Levels in the game with each letting you hold more and more Pokemon. Level 1 lets you hold 20 and level 25 lets you hold 1,000.
Every once in a while Haley will bring a Pokemon she will want to trade to you and if you accept the Pokemon will be placed under one of your Mii's and you can transfer this new Pokemon to your copy of Diamond or Pearl. This includes Event Pokemon which come at random.
If you own Diamond or Pearl you can easily transfer every Pokemon you have stored in your boxes directly from the DS game's main menu under the "Connect to Wii" option. This is usefull if want to reach your Ranch Goals quickly.
Unfortunately for Pokemon Ranch owners who have Pokemon Platinum on the DS you will not be able to transfer unless you are from Japan. This was a big disappointment for me since I happen to own a copy of Platinum with many rare Pokemon caught who would be good for the Ranch.
There is rumors of an update for the game but that probably won't happen for a while so until that happens you're going to need to shell out about another thirty dollars for a copy of Diamond or Pearl.
Overall My Pokemon Ranch is a decent app but a little over priced at ten dollars or 1,000 Nintendo Points since you can't do much with your Pokemon other than watch them be happy and interact with your Mii's.
I give My Pokemon Ranch for the Nintendo Wii a 6 out of 10.
