Jam Party Review for the PC

Posted by raven under Game Review

Jam Party is a music game that you can play with a mouse and keyboard, Rock Band guitar and drums, and so on.

Gameplay

The game is like this virtual DJ software I have on my Mac, but this is something that anyone with no experience can use. Mixing and putting together beats that you think sound good and might make a really good song after you are done creating what you think the song they want you to make What’s cool about this game is, it’s totally up to you what the song is before you play it. It does give you a sample of it so you know what you might be playing. It’s your style and your play, and at the end they give you points to unlock new stages and songs. The game has a very nice tutorial. It does not throw you in. It shows you how to fade the music out and how to mix the music up. Then after you are done you can save your creation to mp3 and play it back with a mouse and keyboard or the Rock Band guitar.

Controls
I was playing this game on a Mac Mini (not mine another one) with a mouse. Playing the game with a mouse made the most sense to me and it worked putting beats together with the mouse was seem less mixing stuff It was really nice with the mouse. This is my preferred way to play the game in my opinion. Everything you’re mixing is displayed nicely at the bottom of the screen.

so nicely out to sifi to some of the songs they change which song you are playing. Everything is color-coded so you know what you are playing. It’s so easy a 3-year-old could play it and have a lot of fun.

Graphics

The graphics are good. The stage is rendered really nicely. The only thing I could say: there is no people on stage when you are rocking out, but the instruments are animated. People on stage would make this game look so much cooler but there are still some really nice stages despite that. For example, there is an underwater stage and lots more to unlock in the game.

Music

This is the game’s meat and potatoes. The music samples are good. They range from techno to rock to pop. The game has a long array of samples to keep you jamming for a long time. The game has the samples displayed nicely out in drums vocals SiFi have an space so you know what you are hitting. for some of the beats and there are five on each so you can mix and match to see what you like that best. if you really like a song that you made you can save it and share it with your family and friends this is really cool share your creation to people. and you can even export it so you can take your creation with you.

All in all

It is really easy to get in to really easy to enjoy 3 year olds can have tons of fun with this play around with the music mixes see what they like. there are a few things i did not like the scoring there is no way to know if you are doing good to unlock to the next level this is very confusion to me it does not tell you if you are doing good or bad it is by luck i see. for an 10 dollar game for your pc you really can not go Wong with jam party if you like rock band and you dabble in to dj music this is a game that you would love and like i said for ten bucks you can not go Wong with jam party hey there is even an 1 hour demo to check the game out so you have almost nothing to lose. it is an unique game that lets you save you creation and jam out to them later i think it is really cool it is like the rock band network but you can create music without knowing anything easy to use easy to get in to.

Space Empires quick look

Posted by raven under Game Review

Space Empires is a long-running PC game that makes its way to Facebook. Big thanks to the wonderful people at NVINIUM Games for giving me the chance to get a sneak peak at this game. As you are reading this the game is already ready to play (in beta) on Facebook. What they have shown me is quite impressive: you can attack other planets, go in to quick battles right from the start - right from your browser. To me that is really impressive; all this in Firefox or whatever browser you use. We have come a very long way from little flash games to full online games right from the comfort of your browser.
